The Unseen

There are things no eyes can see,

yet they consume the most of me.

Lleno de luz,

my soul, my muse

You are the flame

the night once knew,

and I the moth

that flies to you.

I know too well

what fire can do

it kisses once,

then burns straight through.

Yet love they say,

must dare the spark

what is a flame

without the dark?

An unseen pull,

a silent plea,

a force that draws

you close to me.

So if my burning

pleases you,

tell me my love,

what must I do?

Shall I lose wings

to prove my heart,

or burn whole

just to be yours?
