On the 24th March (Wednesday) at 6 pm, SUCCS had their SunVoice 5 semi-finals live on Facebook. To make things more entertaining, this round of semi-finals had a twist. 16 contestants were required to sing a song based on the genre they had drawn beforehand. There are a total of 4 genres which are pop, rock, Chinese classical and folk songs.
Sunway Analytics Society (SAS) held a virtual bonding session for their members titled ‘Game Slam Night’ on 5 February, 8.00 pm-9:30 pm on Microsoft Teams. A video introducing Sunway Analytics Society which contained short clips of previous workshops and events was played at the start of the event, followed by a short speech by the Sunway Analytics Society president, Ting Wei Jian.

The second webinar of the Sunway University Orientation Quadbinars series was held on Friday, 26th February, from 8-9:00 pm on Zoom. Wei Ting Lim, co-founder and CSO of Quadby, hosted the session. Joined by guest speakers Hubert Lee (@hubertceo), Edward Lauh (@zenlauh), and Moses Wong (@moseswck), Malaysian TikTokers who have made a name for themselves on social media. Also present were Quadby members from other universities, such as UPM, MMU, and the University of Nottingham Malaysia, to discuss the overarching question, “Famous for what?”

On the 24th of November 2020, Sunway’s Cultural Exchange Unit launched another successful event called “Discover Mauritius”. Mauritius is a hidden gem on earth with its beautiful scenery as well as its cultural heritage.
According to Orleans Marketing Group, there are currently more than 3.8 billion people in the world that use the internet, which is 40% of the world’s population. Every minute there are about 570 new websites created. Fun fact, there are 5 billion people in the world that own a mobile phone? Nonetheless, there are only 4.2 billion people in the world who own a toothbrush.
With the ever-growing uncertainties surrounding the current pandemic situation, most people will consider getting a job in these times a blessing. However, getting the job is just the first step in the long journey of adulthood. Most graduates not only want to get a job but also want to thrive and be acknowledged in the workplace. Hence, Sunway Career Services collaborated with Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia to organise an e-career talk on the topic of ‘Tips to Help Graduates Succeed in Their First Job’ on 20 October 2020 via BlueJeans.
