There’s something about the ending of a year that sparks a hint of desperation. A coordinated desire to distill joy out of a series of days. A willful attempt meant to reflect back on 365 days of scrambling to pursue the ultimate human endeavor; to live. To live so effervescently that you forget about the act itself.

Top 5 Unforgettable Insta-Worthy Places
In today’s day and age, nothing really happens unless you post about it on social media. The feeling when likes and comments start flooding in after you’ve posted a picture you’ve spent ages editing and even longer contemplating to post, is an addictive sensation. It’s impossible to deny you’ve not been a victim to this vicious cycle. Why I Don’t Support the K-Wave Trend
K-dramas. K-pop. K-beauty. K-fashion. These are the things that brought upon the trend of the K-Wave. From what Google tells me, the Korean Wave (a.k.a. Hallyu) came into the public eye during 1999 when the drama “Autumn in my heart” first premiered. Now, it’s just trending as ever, and it refuses to die down. K-pop has been dominating our local radio channels, and groups like BTS and BLACKPINK have made their way onto international waters. Korean makeup and fashion also surfed the waves too, as many people try to recreate the looks of their favourite idol or their favourite K-drama character.

5 Novels Born During NaNoWriMo
The term “NaNoWriMo” might confuse you if you’re not too deep into the writing scene. For starters, this abbreviation stands for National Novel Writing Month, which takes place annually in the month of November. Participants are required to write a manuscript of 50,000 words from the 1st of November up until the 30th. Since its launch on the 1st of July a decade ago, NaNoWriMo has fostered a thriving community of active writers. NaNoWriMo has also established itself as a non-profit organisation with many esteemed donors such as Wattpad and Scribd (yes, the money you use to buy their adorable merchandise goes to charity!).
From one student to another – What it takes to be above average
Being a student is a tough feat for many of us and that includes me. Personally, I’ve had about three breakdowns in the last week as deadlines kept flowing in. Sometimes it feels like I’m thrashing in harsh waters, trying not to drown. It’s during these phases when I look at the above average students whom I know and wonder to myself: how do they do it? How do they handle so many different commitments so flawlessly?

We Tried 5 Dating Apps (So You Don’t Have To)
Back when Tinder first came out, it was met with much stigma. It went unsaid, but the only reason anyone would use Tinder is if they were lonely, desperate or sleazy. Since then, dating apps have seeped into mainstream use as they’re now simply a matter of practicality in this fast paced world.
