While restrictions were placed to limit the number of guests gathering for Chinese New Year celebrations last year, everyone is beyond excited to look forward to a blast with vaccination opportunities. Marking February 1st this year, the year of the Tiger begins following the second new moon after the Winter Solstice. What most don’t know is that according to the Chinese Zodiac, 2022 marks the year of the Water Tiger that cycles every 60 years only. The year of the Tiger will be all about making massive changes. It will be a year of adventure and risk-taking to rediscover enthusiasm. Everyone is revved up, charity is at an all-time high, and social progress appears to be attainable once more.

Recently I, (Saoussan) have been incredibly drawn towards NFTs, crypto bros and the drama that surrounds it all — but what exactly are NFTs?

Without sugarcoating this illness, diabetes was named when they discovered “sweet urine” also known as “diabetes mellitus”. Sugar is addictive but there are also many other causes of diabetes.

Imagine that you’re in a store- may it be picking out clothes or scanning through the chip aisle in a grocery store and suddenly, Katy Perry’s Roar crackles through the store speakers. More often than not, most people would be washed over with memories from their childhood or past with the mental imagine being more vivid the more enjoyable the song. The Malaysian Allergy Day 2021 is a webinar organized by the Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology (MSAI). It was broadcasted live on the Facebook page of MSAI on the 19th of June 2021 from 7 pm to 10 pm. With the theme of “anaphylaxis” which means severe allergies, this webinar aims to raise public awareness about different aspects of allergies through the valuable sharing of six experts from different fields of allergy and immunology.
The role of language is fascinating, yet overlooked and understated. Language can be a barrier, or a bridge. Even grudgingly, it is used as a measure of intelligence or sophistication. English speakers are seen as being more sophisticated and intelligent as knowing this language is like the opening of doors across the world; yet, not knowing other languages potentially closes us off from exploring the literature or shows produced in those languages. Would we be able to fully understand and enjoy anime without subtitles, for example? Surely we can understand universal non-verbal communication or guess the story based on context, but subtitles allow us to immerse ourselves in the river of experience. Even so, translations are quite limited—we’re missing the intricacies of the original version; we can only bathe in a river, but not the sea.

Returning to the matter at hand, ice cream being the star of frozen desserts is no doubt irresistible for its enchanting sugary and creamy concoction. No need for self-blame. Ice cream is perfectly engineered, so much so it is indistinguishable from magic.
