It’s that time of the year again where pumpkins become (almost) everyone’s food of choice and dressing to look like blood sucking ghouls or the undead is the thing of the season. Oddly enough, it’s almost as if people prefer impersonating some of the most execrable fictional personalities to ever grace the earth with heinous witches and despicable clowns being notable favourites — and who could blame them?

Recently, I came across a YouTube video showcasing a Singaporean mother taking care of her three kids. Little did I know, that seemingly unassuming video would move me to the verge of tears as the seconds went by. Two of those three kids were diagnosed with X-linked Agammaglobulinemia — a rare genetic disorder that compromises the body’s ability to combat infections; while the other — whilst clear of the disorder — is on the autism spectrum. As many parents would attest, it is a daily struggle to care for a child with a disability — let alone three kids — her helplessness and guilt as a mother are further shown as she detailed her turbulent journey as a largely single parent.

Had Princess Diana still been alive, she would have turned 60 just last month. She was known for several things – among these, she was probably best known for her charity work, impeccable style and untimely death. She championed various causes, and most notably fought against the stigma surrounding AIDS patients. Princess Diana was also known as a style icon, for she single-handedly revived dying fashion trends as the clothes and accessories that she was spotted wearing often flew off the shelves, racking up millions of sales. Sadly, her life was cut short when she died in a tragic car accident at the young age of 36.

Since the Famous Order Program first started, McDonald’s has successfully launched multiple successful partnerships with household names such as J Balvin and Travis Scott. Most recently, McDonald’s recently joined forces with the Korean boyband, BTS to launch another edition of their celebrity collaboration meals. While the fans of BTS which are collectively known as ARMYs rejoiced, one is then left with the question as to what led to the collaboration? In an interview with Sirius XM, it was revealed that the boys have had a long history with McDonald’s ever since they were trainees. In a statement, Jungkook described McDonald’s as the friend who has always been there for him with burgers, fries and soft drinks providing the perfect definition of happiness for him.
