Cornetto’s Story
For over six decades, Cornetto has reinvented the way ice cream could be enjoyed through their chocolate-coated waffle cones that created its iconic chocolate tip at the bottom. This, paired with carefully selected ice cream flavors that melt on the tongue, Cornetto’s legacy of packaged, handheld ice cream cones spread across the world, beloved by all.
Founded back in 1959, ice cream manufacturer Spica was the first who created the chocolate-coated crunchy cones, jumpstarting his business. In 1962, it was acquired by Unilever, seeking to bring it to new heights. Following that, Cornetto would eventually launch its brand worldwide after its successful UK launch in 1976. In the years that followed 1976, Cornetto became internationally known and recognized in more than 65 countries, savored by people of all ages.
Cornetto is now sold locally in Malaysia under the brand Wall’s Malaysia.
New Flavor Galore!
Matcha and strawberry lovers are in luck! As Cornetto launches its new Matcha Strawberry flavor, a perfect blend between the nutty, rich matcha, and tangy, thrilling hint of strawberry ice cream, topped with crunchy cereal balls for a satisfying texture, and Cornetto’s signature crunchy wafer.
Alongside the release of its new flavor, Cornetto has launched “Cornetto Uni Roadshow”, featuring stalls full of interactive activities to promote Matcha Strawberry, and further engage with university students around the country. Their first stop was Multimedia University (MMU) Cyberjaya, where they kicked off the event on September 2nd, 2026.
Cornetto Coming to Sunway!
Worried about missing out on the action? Well, worry no more! Cornetto will also be heading to Sunway during their roadshow, with its tentative date set on the 29th September, in Sunway College’s Boulevard.

A multitude of activities will be available at their booths, including a chill area where the booth extends into a lounge area that lets students sit down, listen to music, and play low-stakes games while hanging out with friends. Giant cones of Cornetto product replicas will be set up around the stall as a photobooth area, while the stall itself features custom keyboard clickers keychains
On the day, a matcha collab will be held between Cornetto and Oh Cha Matcha cafe for a special drink collab, with drinks like Cornetto Matcha Strawberry Latte, Matcha Latte, Matchatella, Malaysia Matcha Latte, and many more.
