The Batman, which was part of the larger DC Extended Universe and was released on March 4, 2022, is believed to be one of the more fan-serviced movies, with many hailing it as ‘The Batman We’ve Always Wanted.’ Although the Batman character has been in films played by various actors for decades, the first comments to this cinematic outlet have been mainly positive, fulfillling viewers’ thirst for the real deal. Bruce Wayne, featuring Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight, already garnered much attention due to the actor’s notoriety. And the actor himself became such a vital part of the process of experiencing the actual Batman’s original feel without reinventing the character as is customary.

March 14 marks Stephen Hawking’s fourth death anniversary. Having lived 76 years, Hawking died on 14 March 2018 which brought much sadness to the world. Known for his great contribution to the world of science and cosmology, Stephen William Hawking was an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and an author who wrote the book, “A Brief History of Time”. He was also the director of research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology at the University of Cambridge. To commemorate this physicist, Echo has decided to write this article.

From the 10th to the 11th of February, Sunway University’s Student Council (SUSC) organised a forum in which students who joined had the opportunity to discover how to craft a bright future with their extracurricular involvements. The speakers on the 10th of February were Elaine Quek, a Year 3 Semester 1 Accounting and Finance student as well as Ko Jia Xin, a Year 2 Semester 3 Computer Science Student.  The speaker on the second day was Ms Sook Mun from Shopee’s People Team (Branding).

Marking February 1st this year, the year of the Tiger begins following the second new moon after the Winter Solstice. What most don’t know is that according to the Chinese Zodiac, 2022 marks the year of the Water Tiger that cycles every 60 years only. The year of the Tiger will be all about making massive changes. It will be a year of adventure and risk-taking to rediscover enthusiasm. Everyone is revved up, charity is at an all-time high, and social progress appears to be attainable once more.

Beers and Skittles: Behind the Doors of the House of Gucci

If there’s one thing I took away from watching Ridley Scott’s ‘House of Gucci’, it would be that Patrizia Reggiani (or Patrizia Gucci, which she prefers to be referred to as) is as ruthless as she is stylish. Based on Sara Gay Forden’s 2001 book titled ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour and Greed’, ‘House of Gucci’ offers a peek inside the scandalous Gucci household in the 80s and 90s. This biopic focuses on the tumultuous married life of Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani which ultimately culminates in murder.
