Ethics is defined as the set of moral principles that govern a person’s behavior or the running of an activity. Unsportsmanlike conduct, similarly, is a term defined as an offence in sports that violates the sport’s generally accepted rules of sportsmanship and participant conduct. Throughout history, there have been instances when the behaviours of certain sportsmen and athletes have been questioned.

The Clubs, Societies and Sports Awards Ceremony was held on the 21st of November to celebrate and reward the achievements of Sunway’s many clubs. As Malaysia’s #MostHappeningCampus, Sunway places a huge emphasis on providing students with a variety of clubs to cater to a spectrum of interests. Miss Amanda Chong from Student Life believes that clubs are an excellent platform for the development of useful social skills and talents, complementing academic knowledge learnt in the classroom. Students can also stand to widen their social circle through participating in clubs as they will meet people who share the same passions as them.
There I was, standing in front of a bookshelf in a bookstore of a mall on what seemed to be a lazy Sunday afternoon, as the store workers were either idly meddling with their little oblong screens as they stared into it with droopy eyes, or simply deep within the dreams of an afternoon nap, drool seeping its way down the side of their mouths. The store itself wasn’t crowded; a couple of children with their parents – worn, exhausted and withering like ghastly undead cadavers (which is unsurprising considering they were very likely soaked in a midlife crisis), browsing the stationery section or in a panic looking for materials for a last minute school project; and a few others, like me, trapped in ‘decision-making purgatory’ within the aisles of the endless labyrinth of bookshelves.

There, standing behind my father, steadfast in her beauty and in her support of my father alike, is my mother. It’s not her that I’m taken aback by, it’s the boy next to her. He’s the spitting image of Mr Boyd, this boy, with the same obsidian eyes and platinum blonde hair. He smiles directly at the corner, cool and close-lipped.
“That – that’s me,” I say.
On Thursday the 15th of November, Sunway University’s Psychology degree students with help from Sunway Psychology Club held a special project in which they collected items of students’ break-ups and displayed them in the Art Gallery for all to see.
Creatures, magic and mystery galore! This Fantastic Beasts sequel spends its screentime whipping around fast-paced action scenes and chocks itself full of Easter Eggs with such rapid succession that it masks its (sadly flimsy) plot with delightful entertainment. As a devout Harry Potter fan, watching Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald over the weekend left me with a lot of Thoughts™ I’m eager to share.
Gol dan Gincu Vol.2, 3 words: progressive, fun, heartwarming. This is a reboot of the original Gol dan Gincu TV series and movie from 2005. Originally an enemies-to-lovers romcom somehow involving futsal as a catalyst to the main characters’ relationship growth, Gol dan Gincu was never much of a hit. However, this reboot, switching up the main theme from love to friendship and including a diverse cast of misfits on the futsal team has breathed new life into this franchise.
