PART A: INTRODUCTION
By subscribing to Sunway Echo Media (“Leadership Body”, “we”, “us” or “our”) Newsletter/ Mailing List service at https://sunwayechomedia.com/ website indicates that you (“you”, “your”, or “subscriber”) have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions (including Privacy Policy). You specifically agree to: (i) these Terms and Conditions; (ii) receive email and other communications from us; and (iii) receive advertisements and information sent by us.
PART B: NEWSLETTER/ MAILING LIST
1. Aim
The aim of Sunway Echo Media’s Newsletter/Mailing List service is to keep the audience and subscribers updated about our latest articles, events, developments or new information.
2. Content
By subscribing to our Newsletter/ Mailing List, you understand that:
(i) all content, text, photographs, graphics, messages, audio and audiovisual material, documents or any other materials contained are subject to copyright;
(ii) you may not otherwise use, copy, reproduce, modify or transmit the content without our prior consent;
(iii) all content, text, photographs, graphics, messages, audio and audiovisual material, documents or any other materials contained are supplied for informational purposes only and is not comprehensive or advisory in nature;
(iv) we take the accuracy of the Newsletter you receive very seriously, but we cannot entirely guarantee the content’s correctness, currency, or completeness;
(v) the Newsletter’s material is not intended to be regarded as advice and should not be interpreted as such;
(vi) we will hold no accountability if the Newsletter’s material is used as a research reference.
3. Limiting Age
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use the Newsletter/Mailing List service and are not allowed to subscribe or submit any personal information. If you are under the age of 12 and you wish to subscribe to our Newsletter service, your parent or guardian can submit their personal information in the subscription form and you should access our Newsletter only with the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not intentionally gather personal information from visitors who are under the age of 12.

PART C: SUBSCRIPTION
1. Subscription Fee
Subscription to our Newsletter/ Mailing List is free of charge, no fee or payment will be incurred upon or after subscription.
2. Subscription Term
If the subscription service will be from the date of your subscription to the date of unsubscription.
3. Re-subscription
You will be requested to re-subscribe to our Newsletter/ Mailing List service if the website is moved to another platform, encounter terminations, audience database loss or other unexpected crash.
4. Frequency of Newsletter/ Mailing List
The number of newsletters may be up to 7 per week, corresponding to the number of new information available.
5. Non-transferable
Upon your subscription to our Newsletter, your right to subscribe to the Newsletter is not transferable to any other third party.
6. Double Opting-in
After filling in your subscription form, you will be receiving an email from us to confirm your email address. You will then need to follow the email address confirmation instructions in order to complete your subscription.
7. Unsubscription
You have the right to unsubscribe from our Newsletter/ Mailing List service at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe from the list” link at the footer in any of our Newsletter/Mailing List. Otherwise, you can contact us by emailing us to request to remove you from the subscription list.
PART D: REVIEW GUIDELINES
We may provide you sections on the website or Newsletter to leave reviews, comments, or ratings. The purpose of having a comment section is to provide every visitor and subscriber with a space to voice out their reviews. We may accept, reject, or remove reviews at our sole discretion. When posting your responses, you must comply with the following criteria:
(i) you should have firsthand experience with the content being reviewed;
(ii) your review should not contain offensive, abusive, racist or hateful language and profanity;
(iii) your reviews should not contain discriminatory references based on religion, race, gender, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability;
(iv) you should not post any false or misleading statements;
(v) you should not organize any form of campaigns to encourage others to post negative reviews;
(vi) you should not post any promotional materials for events, activities, or campaigns organised by external organizations.
PART E: INTELLECTUAL COPYRIGHTS
1. Copyrights
Unless stated or otherwise through credits the third party sources, Sunway Echo Media has the legal intellectual copyright to the originality of the Newsletter/Mailing List and any ideas, designs, graphics, photographs, text, audio and audiovisual material, documents and any other material contained are subjected to the law of Malaysia Copyright Act 1987.
2. Use of Content
In relation to the Newsletter/Mailing List, you agree that you may only use the Newsletter/Mailing List for informational purposes only.
3. Prohibition
(i) Any content in the Newsletter/Mailing List is not allowed to be used for commercial purposes unless otherwise stated;
(ii) You are strictly not permitted to use, copy, reproduce, modify or transmit the content without our prior written consent. Unauthorised use is prohibited and protected by the law of Malaysia Copyright Act 1987.
PART F: LIMITED LIABILITIES
By subscribing to our Newsletter service, you agree that Sunway Echo Media shall not be liable, in any manner, as a result of your exposure to any defamatory, libellous, threatening, unlawfully harassing, obscene or otherwise unlawful content or data.
We reserve the sole right, with or without notice to you, to alter, revise, discontinue, or otherwise change these Newsletter Terms and Conditions. We will not be liable to you or any third party should we exercise such right. These terms of use will apply to any new features that augment or expand the current services on this site.
If any subscriber is found to (1) submit fraudulent data; (2) violate any of the specified Terms, we reserve the right but are not obligated, to terminate, suspend, or unsubscribe them from our newsletter service with or without notice.
PART G: PRIVACY
We will not communicate/spread/publish/ sell or otherwise give away your (1) email address; (2) First Name; (3) Last Name; and (4) Birthday to third parties without your consent or unless it is necessary relating to a service you have requested from us.
You hold the right to change your subscription status or update your preferences anytime by clicking on the “unsubscribe from the list” link or the “update your preferences” link at the bottom of one of our newsletters.
