Sometimes the happiest moments in our lives are just good music
A drive, a conversation with an old friend
Hot chocolate while it rains.
Nature, as it unfolds before your eyes.
It’s lying on your back watching the sky
Some silence,
Soft, dreamlike moments
that come and slip away
Leaving us stunned, unable to describe how we feel.
It’s a ball of light expanding inside your chest
Slowly moving through every part of your body,
filling up all the crevices.
You lay there, stationary:
Taking in how beautiful, how precious, these moments are.
To only realise how the silliest of things make you smile–
Genuine smiles
from the bottom of your heart.
